Tuscan fillet pot – a fantastic Omnia recipe

Tuscan fillet pot

The Tuscan fillet pot is one of the most popular recipes for the Omnia oven.

I am also very happy to recommend the Tuscan fillet pot. This is partly because it is super tasty and partly, and I think this is particularly important for Omnia beginners, because this fillet pot is absolutely sure to succeed!

Furthermore, the Tuscan fillet pot is an Omnia recipe, which is also suitable for “special” days such as Easter or similar. Let’s be honest: even if you’re a camper, you still want to prepare something “special” on certain days, don’t you?

And then this potpourri of spices….Madness! That’s when you first realize how little you actually cook with spices. Of course, we all know salt, pepper, paprika and curry. But I don’t actually use spices like rosemary and thyme very often. And certainly not at the same time. The reason for this is probably the handling and the unfamiliar taste. But now I wanted to change that. A friend’s son gave me the idea. He is training to be a chef in a great hotel in Berchtesgaden. Well, that was a conversation full of experience! He is just 22 years old and talks as if his playmates as a child were “wooden spoons” and “rosemary”. That’s not meant to come across as arrogant. Quite the opposite! There was such enthusiasm in his words – unbelievable! Absolute rapture – fantastic! The boy has really found his dream job – terrific! And it was actually from this conversation that my experiment with spices for the Tuscan fillet pot came about.

500g pork fillet
1 packet. Bacon
250ml Rama Cremefine/cream
100g cocktail tomatoes
1 clove of garlic
3 tbsp tomato paste
2 tbsp ketchup
Paprika powder
Cayenne pepper

For the Tuscan fillet pot, rinse the meat, pat dry and cut into medallions approx. 2.5 cm thick. Wrap the fillet pieces in the bacon and place them next to each other in the Omnia dish.

Mix the cream or Rama Cremefine with the tomato purée, ketchup and spices. Halve the cocktail tomatoes and fold into the sauce. Chop the garlic and add it as well. Pour everything over the fillets.

Heat the Omnia oven for approx. 5 minutes at the highest level. Then bake the Tuscan fillet pot for approx. 50 minutes over a low heat.

Of course, you can also prepare the Tuscan fillet pot in your electric oven at home. Prepare the medallions and the cream mixture in the same way. Place everything in a baking dish and bake at approx. 180° for about 50 minutes. Serve with either baguette or croquettes. Yummy!

The Tuscan fillet pot is also ideal for parties. It’s great to prepare. Simply put everything in a larger baking dish and pop it in the oven!
