Today we have a very special recipe: Irish cream liqueur cake! This cake is not only delicious, but also a real eye-catcher. I use an Irish cream liqueur for this cake, which gives the whole thing a wonderfully creamy and light caramel note. In Germany, the best-known Irish cream liqueur is probably Baileys, but there are also other brands such as Mary’s or even cheaper versions in discount stores. Simply choose the liqueur that tastes best to you.

I don’t drink alcohol myself and it’s always terrible for me when I have to taste the batter 😂. To be honest: I never try the dough if it contains alcohol 😁. This dough ALWAYS tastes horrible to me. But when the cake is baked, it’s delicious 😁.

I deliberately named the cake “Irish cream cake” and not after the well-known cream liqueur. Unfortunately, I often have to watch out for trademark infringements. Unfortunately, I am a “burnt child” 🙈 because I already have a serious trademark infringement behind me, although I have always done a lot of “free advertising” for this company. But that’s another topic. Here and now we’re talking about a really delicious cake – the Irish cream cake.

Instead of cream, sour cream and lots of sugar, we use healthier ingredients such as yogurt, buttermilk, reduced-fat cooking cream, cream cheese and half-fat margarine in our recipes. You’ll be surprised how delicious it can be

Ingredients:

3 eggs gr. M
150g sugar
1 sachet of vanilla sugar
150ml Irish cream liqueur (e.g. Baileys)
150ml neutral vegetable oil (e.g. sunflower oil)
200g flour
1 sachet of baking powder
200g chocolate coating, dark

Preparation:

Using a hand mixer, beat the eggs with the sugar and vanilla sugar until creamy.

Pour in the Irish cream liqueur and the vegetable oil in a gentle stream while continuing to stir with the hand mixer.

Mix the flour with the baking powder and stir briefly but vigorously into the remaining ingredients.

If possible, place the silicone mold in the camping oven.

Spread the batter in the silicone mold.

Bake the Irish cream cake for 40 minutes on a low heat.

Melt the couverture.

Remove the Irish cream cake from the silicone mold and coat with the chocolate coating. Decorate with mocha beans* if desired.
